Optical Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Optical Laboratory Technicians are the ones who fit the lenses into frames and make glasses that are prescribed. They are specialists when it comes to putting them together and cleaning. Many of them have their own stores.

Salary: $15,000 - $20,000

Education: To start off you will need a high school diploma or GED. The training lasts about six months to a year and is offered by many vocational schools and community colleges and you can even get on-the-job training, by some at stores.

Reflection: I don’t think I would like to have this career because I don’t find it interesting. It also isn’t what I like.
