Student success statement

“I will persist until I succeed”

Og Mandino

This statement is nothing but the truth. If you give up on your dreams than you don’t really want them to come true. An example would be getting straight A’s, it might seem impossible but if you work hard its reachable. I you want something you need to go get it. Nothing in life is handed to you. People who are successful is because of all the hard work that they put in and the sacrifice. If they failed ten times then they tried thirty more. Nothing is easy but once its accomplished, how you feel, is just priceless.

Student success statement

“Nothing in the world can take place of Persistence.

TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

President Calvin Coolidge

30th president of US (1872 – 1933)

This statement is true because the more people tell you that you can’t do something the more you should be trying. Show people you can be great, prove everyone wrong but most importantly prove yourself wrong. Everybody always makes up excuses as to why they won’t do something and that’s when they make themselves believe they can’t do something in that moment try harder and accomplish your goals. The only person that can stop you from reaching a goal or goals is yourself, after that the possibilities as to what you can do and who you can become are endless.

Student Success Statement

“Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.”

Matt Biondi

This statement is true because if you stay with your goals you will always achieve them. If you don’t have any goals in life then you have nowhere to go. Everybody should have goals in life so that they can know where to shoot and on what to set their mind on. Knowing the steps to reaching your goal will set you on the right path, and knowing how to compete the steps will take you to greatness.

Student Success Statement

“The answer to these questions will determine your success or failure:

1. Can people trust me to do what’s right?

2. Am I committed to doing my very best?

3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?

If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.”

Lou Holtz

This statement with set of questions is true because to get things going your way in a good way you must act the same way back. Giving is always good because when you receive it can always be ten times better. You must learn how to trust so people can trust you back. Always be committed to reaching your goals. Treat people how you want to be treated, doing all this, you will succeed.

Reflection on JFK’s Speech

To be healthy I need to get enough sleep, eat well, and do exercise. I am currently not doing any of these but I will start to do so. Today, actually I am going to the gym with my friends and it’s going to become a daily thing. I am also going to change my eating habits. I also need to hurry up and do my homework everyday so that I can shower earlier and go to sleep earlier. I will continue to stay away from alcohol and drugs.

Student success statement

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”

President John F. Kennedy

This statement is true because if you eat healthy you will feel healthy. The body cannot function well if you have poor eating habits. Your body is at its greatest peak when you push and help it get there. Your body cannot be healthy if you don’t want it to be or help it. By its self it wouldn’t be able to do or be any way.

Student Success Statement

“No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.”

Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian

This statement is true because you can’t achieve success by doing just what is needed you should always push for more and shoot farther. The harder you work the bigger the price will be. Success is not easy to obtain but once that its obtained there is nothing you can’t do and there is no one that can stop you.

Student Success statement

“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”

Chick Moorman

This quote is true because you always want to win fair and square. I know that I wouldn’t like to win by cheating or by doing something that I wasn’t supposed to do. A good example would be all the Olympians at the Olympics right now, they work and work until they can’t no more and may or may not win but at least they gave it their all. I know that they wouldn’t like to win by cheating or by a mistake so why should you,

Student Success statement

“Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself.”

Henry Ward Beecher

This statement is true because the only person you should have to work hard to impress is yourself. If you always have high expectations for yourself than you will always shoot higher to reach higher goals. Impressing yourself and pushing yourself to the limit will first make you feel good about yourself and then the impressment to others will come in time. After you prove yourself wrong, prove all the others who said you couldn’t do it wrong as well. Never excuse yourself for doing something you said you would because that’s when the laziness begins and you don’t need that.

Student Success Statement

“Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get.”

Mark Victor Hansen

This statement is true because when you plan you achieve. If you plan goals and how you’re going to reach them then you will reach them. Once you think or make a plan go get it once you can and do not let it slip away. Goal reaching is one of the best feelings there is.

Progress Report

So far I’ve reached a goal. I tried for a long time and never succeeded until last Monday I got a call saying if I could go for an interview. I got the call around 2 PM then I went to the interview at 5. I got hired, and started working on Tuesday. Finding a job was one of my goals and I achieved it and honestly it feels really good. Now I just have to keep working hard so that I can achieve all my other goals.
