Industrial Hygienist

Duties and Responsibilities: Industrial Hygienists evaluate health hazards and check for health risking situations in the workplace. They also provide consultation. They also collect samples and perform lab experiments. Other duties include checking worker exposure to radiation, test equipment, and conduct epidemiological research.

Salary: $40,000-$60,000

Education: You will need a high school diploma or GED. Then you will need a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in occupational health, environmental health engineering, or physical sciences. Some jobs may require a master’s degree in any of these or related majors.

Reflection: It does seem like an interesting job and I would like to keep it in mind for a possible career.
