Duties and
Responsibilities: Also referred to as technologists collect data and
measurements to assist the ophthalmologists. They gather the information needed
to find the correct diagnose and treatment for eye diseases and problems. They
will also perform eye exams and assist in eye surgeries.
Salary: $14,000
- $25,000
Education: A
high school diploma or GED is needed. Two years of college are also needed just
to begin ophthalmic training programs and the programs can take up to two years
as well.
