Speech Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Speech pathologists help people improve their communication skills. They may work with children, stroke victims or people with dyslexia.  They usually work in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, or private practice.

Salary: $72,000

Education: To be a licensed speech pathologist you will need a master’s degree and preferably from any of the 253 programs approved by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. You would also be under supervised clinical experience.

 


Reflection: This is a career that I will keep in mind because it seems to interest me.
